Amber Computing & IT Services Ltd have been providing computer hardware, consultancy services, managed network support and websites to a wide range of business clients within the North East of Scotland since the mid 1990's. We specialise in the provision of networks based around Microsoft Servers and Workstations although we are familiar with Apple and Android devices.

Environmental Policy

Amber Computing & IT Services Ltd provides IT support, solutions and managed services to small businesses in the North East of Scotland. We recognise that our own activities have impacts on the environment and we are seeking to minimise these effects as much as we can, while maintaining the high quality standards of the services we provide. This environmental policy is our commitment to minimising our impacts and continually improving our environmental performance during the course of our business.

 

We have reviewed our operations and identified the associated environmental impacts. Our aim is to implement improvements in the following areas:

 

Compliance with Legislation - We are committed to complying with, or exceeding, all environmental legislation applicable to our business operations and aim to encourage our customers and suppliers to do likewise.

 

Energy - We use energy for heating and lighting. We will monitor our energy consumption on a regular basis and implement energy efficiency measures where practical.

 

Resources and Waste - Much of our waste packaging and IT equipment is currently recycled. We plan to investigate improved re-use and more sustainable packaging solutions.

 

Pollution Prevention - We will implement measures to reduce potential risks of pollution to water, air and land by our business processes. The increased use of remote monitoring and maintenance of IT systems will support our aim.

 

Communication - We will train staff to work in accordance with this policy and help us achieve the above aims.

Who we are

Amber Computing is named after a very special golden retriever, Carlingford Silent Night, whose everyday name was Amber.

 

Amber was a constant companion for Angus when he was setting up the company and therefore when it came to creating a company identity we chose the golden paw pad as our logo.

 

Over the years the company has expanded and we are now located in the North Wing Office at Deeside Activity Park in Dess, near Aboyne. The premises provide an excellent location for Amber Computing, in the heart of our Aberdeenshire client base. The company currently comprises of :-

ROYAL WARRANT

 

Royal Warrant

 

Amber Computing & IT Services Ltd were delighted to be awarded The Royal Warrant for Her Majesty The Queen in 2009.

 

In order to be considered for the granting of a Royal Warrant of Appointment, a company must supply the member of the Royal Family concerned, or their Household, with products or services in significant quantity over a lengthy period of time. The Royal Warrant has always been recognition of personal service of the highest order. It is granted to a named individual within the company who is then responsible for ensuring that the Warrant is correctly used. The warrant is held by Angus Eddy, our Managing Director. Amber Computing are members of the Royal Warrant Holders Association.
